A few handy tips & tricks

Counting your inventory

If you want to correct or recount your inventory, you can do this in different ways:

Option 1: Set stock to 0

  1. You set the stock to 0 in the backoffice via 'Settings' > 'Configuration' > 'TOOLS' > 'Reset stock to 0'.

!Note: this creates an inventory document that offsets your current stock. So if you have 2 in stock, the inventory document will subtract -2 to bring it to 0. If you want to undo the reset, you can simply delete this document ('Documents' -> 'Purchase' -> 'Inventory').

  2. You can now create a new inventory document via 'Documents' > 'Purchase' > 'Inventory'. Here, you enter your current products and their newly counted stock.

  3. After saving this document, your stock is up-to-date!

TIP 1: Create a separate document for each shelf, so you can easily find items.

Option 2: Update the current stock

  1. You generate an inventory report of your current stock via 'Reports' > 'Inventory'
  2. Optionally print it or use the Excel export, go through the stock, and note the discrepancies if there are any differences.

  3. You can now create a new inventory document via 'Documents' > 'Purchase' > 'Inventory'. Here, you enter the products that differ and the discrepancies (both positive and negative) with the stock.

  4. After saving this document, your stock is up-to-date!
